Well, Wordle has finally forgotten all my stats and reset everything. Time to find another game.

I can’t help thinking WW3 is going to come about due to a tweet.

OMG, please for the love of God, can we stop with this "oh this will be funny having an AI baby do something we used to like" craze. Srlsy.

I'm on hold, and the music is hanson. It's particularly painful a) through a phone and b) on loop.

It's known as "Cat privileges". - i.e "Sorry, can't do the washing up. Cat privileges".

I had no idea that they think there's a game of thrones style ice wall surrounding us. Most amusing.

I just wrote a python script (in WSL) which creates a personalised email draft directly in the outlook app on the Windows side, with multiple personalised word doc attachments. All because I can't be bothered to learn how to actually mail merge.

I'm vaguely on the lookout for a UK or UK-ish timezone company (or amazing freelancers) to do some UX/Product design work (ultimately ending up in a VueJS app). Only building a shortlist at the moment, but.. recommendations of people/things to checkout?

Working out which google api to use to get your own reviews (more than 5) is an absolute minefield. I think I've worked it out, but now I have an API quota of zero, so can't even test it. WTAF Google.

I feel there should be a "No Cursor, *you* screwed this up. Don't charge me for this request to fix it" checkbox. #cursor #ai

One of my favourite films. "Hey, Ryan, be careful what you shoot at. Most things in here don't react too well to bullets."

Getting the hang of Cursor. Must say, I wouldn't have got as far as I have building my first React Native app without it - about 2 weeks through, and first prototype is basically ready. Noice.

I mean, it created the initial problem it’s trying to fix. Are you allowed to swear at it?

Trying out Cursor. Initially promising (even managed to fix my linting/prettier config) but has now gone into a loop of not being able to make a RN action sheet appear.

I have spent a day down the react native hole. First impressions:
- Expo is clever.
- You have too many routers
- Nesting tabs within a drawer with stacks is...tricky.
- Most of the UI kits aren't great.

Good so far - must say quite impressed by the DX of Expo!

About to jump down the react native hole for the first time. Wish me luck.

Considering this is insanely valuable UI real-estate, I find it baffling.

The "Includes paid promotion" page isn't where I want to go when clicking a youTube thumbnail - the amount of times I've clicked it by accident is absurd.

The worst thing is, if you then use the back button, the algorithm has probably removed the very video you wanted to watch from the grid.

This is my current biggest #youTube pet peeve: The "Includes paid promotion" button/banner on a thumbnail.

Rant to follow...

My morning's effort of trying to reduce the size of a docker image has magically ballooned it from 800MB to 2.5GB. *sigh*. FFS.
