In a spectacle of nature's infinite power, glorious Mount Fitz Roy, battered by furious winds, emerges from the clouds. Patagonia's mountains can be hidden for days, but when they clear, the beauty is endless!

No churning clouds, no furious winds, no dramatic light breaking through, just the sun's first rays dancing across one of our planet's most spectacular and imposing massifs. Torres del Paine, Patagonia.

After several attempts over a period of 6 years, patience finally paid off. For an all too brief moment, Argentinian Patagonia's vast, breathtaking Perito Moreno glacier is dressed in the most beautiful light!

It took me more than 4 years to capture a scene I could only dream of. A magnificent Condor soars above the peaks of Argentina's Mount Fitz Roy, as they are spot lit in beautiful morning light.

Amazing work.

The magnificent dead trees of Namibia's Deadvlei draw beautiful graphical shapes against a neighbouring red dune, towering more than 300 m/ 1000ft above. A unique, almost surreal scene, so typical of Namibia!

In South Africa's Cape Peninsula, a wave crashes against a cliff, in one of the world's highest impact zones. Freak waves occur rarely, but patience was rewarded and it came straight at my camera, exploding at least 5 m above sea level!
