“You gotta learn AI or get left behind!” is a bit galling given that the entire purpose of AI seems to be to steal our work and fuck our brains and shit up the planet, which is to say, its GOAL is to leave us all behind. That, in order to make its owners rich.

So Draft2Digital says "btw we allow books made by AI but we're so overrun with garbage that we're going to charge you stupid little indies that make less than $100 a year a $12 fee because of all the AI" and then Bluesky was down for hours bc it's run by AI coding. But somehow AI is a GOOD thing.

I don't know at all what the sound system is like (Maggie says not great) but that would be awesome if it could be livestreamed. David plans on recording it for the podcast, but we've had requests for video and such.
