The Trump administration is dismantling the U.S. Forest Service. 193 million acres of public land (bigger than Texas) is being handed over to political operatives and industry insiders.

#Writers on bluesky looking to up their craft - if you are NOT attending the Oscars this year - this will be a fun way to learn about setups and payoffs, with a side of ✨g l a m ✨
It’s built for desktop, but you’ll be able to follow along on an ipad browser during the show.
If you look in the Loomanka Public Library today (again, best on desktop), you can already explore the board and all of the questions we’re primed to ask before the show
By the end of the night, we’ll have a snapshot of the narrative tension that was set up and paid off, and it’ll look something like this. Like reading a blog recap/review, but in the form of a fully interactive, animated board.
While an awards show isn’t technically scripted content, it’s still laden with narrative tension 👀
Loomanka boards are for tracking setups and payoffs across a story. Usually used by #screenwriters or other storytellers.
Prepping for the #Oscars. We’ll livestream the creation of a setup/payoff board of the awards show itself in real time 🤩
(btw not AI)
we’re prepping a setup/payoff board for the #oscars
so here’s a 1 min primer on how to navigate a loomanka board ✅

Open the Focus panel, and click through each tag to see a simple breakdown. We wanted the onboarding experience to be baked into the tool itself, rather than a separate static piece of documentation
Built a new onboarding experience today 🥳
the “START HERE” story in our public library is really an introduction to the core components of a setup/payoff board.

If you’re a #writer for film/tv, this was made for you
If you like nerding out over interactive, narrative-driven visualizations, this is also for you
Outline your narrative tension ✨with friends✨ Weds or Sat.
We’re putting together small writers groups for folks who want to learn. (Also a UI update snuck in here)

We’ll put together some writing group sessions soon, but for now we’re just excited to say it’s alive! We’ve been eager to share it since our initial view-only release earlier this year.
They’re limited to 10 cards for now, but we’ll expand to unlimited soon. You’ll keep track of your setups/tension/invisible questions/mysteries/transformations across any number of chapters or episodes 🤯
We made a writing tool that helps you outline for narrative tension instead of plot. You can rearrange plot points while making sure you don’t f* your setups and payoffs 👀 #screenwriting #nanowrimo #filmmaking #authors
We made a “compare” feature this week 🤯 Now we can see how the setup and payoffs connect across episodes, in two different narrative paths.
Screenwriters/directors/producers, we want to give you freebies like it’s costco lunch hour. No AI ✔️

On we go ✨
So curious about the scene down there. Are there groups or # hashtaggies you’d recommend where I can connect with nz writers/directors?
🤞
Note: for full interactivity, try Loomanka from your laptop ✨ the mobile version has fewer features available.
Stress-posting to distract myself from *gestures widely*
Here’s a loom I created with Loomanka. There’s an interactive version in the Loomanka library but in case you prefer to squint: the first card is a setup, all of the middle cards are raised stakes, and the last card is a payoff.
