It's so cool how they think their employee intelligence can be adequately simulated using this data and some matrix math. Really tells you everything you need to know about the company leadership.
There's only one thing i care about in this context: Did Betelgeuse Explode?
I think they already did a demo... With Jay Leno and accelerating towards a wall... None of this sounds like starting production and delivering it to customers en masse.
So far, the reality has worked in exactly the opposite way - everyone who made chips just for themselves has ran into the wall of ever growing costs that couldn't be offset by the demand of one company. I think this is the dumbest shit he said today for now.
(doing my best George Carlin impression) Hey, Grok, blow me!
Intel promised its 14A process to be production ready early 2027, i don't think Tesla anything will be up and running in the next two years, clean rooms and fab tools don't grow on trees. Sooo... If they make anything for their cars by the time it's ready, it'll be slightly dated like the HW3 was.
In terms of compute, HW4 is pretty much HW3, but with 50% more matrix accelerators. The bigger difference is the memory capacity, and the talk of its expansion implies that their architectural improvements involve making the model bigger, to the point of being unable to fit in the old setups.
Not that much worse than they were originally built, i bet.
The cameras would be the least of the problems, also the whole FSD computer and its enclosure, not sure about the wiring harnesses and cooling pipes... It's... Not gonna be a fun job.
...i really want to know where this much money is going...
I ate all the Marie biscuits.
All I gotta say is that people who are criticizing any staff of a website for blocking users of the website need to spend a few years as staff of a social website and experiencing the unhinged abuse you get for it and see how fast you resort to mass blocking too
I can imagine how it would fare in today's side impact crash tests and i want to see it because i like harmless carnage!
...fucking gravity, i tell you...
New Glenn GS1 booster "Never Tell Me The Odds" has returned to Port Canaveral following the NG-3 mission, having launched on April 19.
MUCH faster turnaround time bringing Jacklyn into port compared to NG-2!

Never Tell Me The Odds beating the odds again as it arrived onboard Jacklyn for a second time.
The boys are back in town indeed.

A course grained rock under ultraviolet light. Bits of red and orange stand out between larger violet and blue structures.
Last night I tried as an experiment to photograph a chunk of gabbro (mafic intrustive igneous rock) under ultraviolet light. I didn’t expect much as it was sorta dull to the naked eye but ended up with a pretty interesting result!

Fascinating. I want a longer clip from onboard cameras. I get the feeling the car still doesn't recognize rail crossings as anything at all.
*boots up another silly incremental game*
My body is always ready, but my mind needs some temporary dumbing down.
the fencing visualization system i worked on with rhizomatiks
is coming to los angeles this weekend 🤗
Fascinating. It was uploading corrupted images for me earlier today, now it's just nothing.

I posted about spacecraft knots in 2012! Well, I edited a post by knot tyer David Fred:

When I retire I want all of y'all to write it up just like this.
