An unemployed Pete Buttigieg can lend his voice via podcast/YouTube if he so chooses (something akin to what George Conway does with The Bulwark). He'd achieve greater reach and political influence (and compensation) than either Newsom or Pritzker as state governors.

High school early 2000s: Would use my twice a week allocated library/study hall privileges scouring the USA Today, Trib, and Sun-Times hoping a sports media column was published that day. Was always thrilled to find a byline with Rudy Martzke.

The potential option for licensing may enable the spinco to continue using the MSNBC name for the cable news network. But, in case not, perhaps either "MSUSA" or "USA News Network" offer an easy layup for (a lukewarm) rebrand (repurpose/synergy with known sister brand "USA Network").

Very much enjoyed the reunion pod, with retro theme inclusion. The lone who's down goes to Marchand for not opening with "And we're back." Perhaps, next time. @andrewmarchand.bsky.social

Thank you, Tom Skilling, for the many years of invaluable service to the WGN viewing audience. Your daily presence on television and enthusiasm for weather will be missed. Enjoy more of your favorite activities, new experiences, and well deserved R&R! #ChicagosVeryOwn
