I really can't tell if playing Grounded for a solid 150 hours made me more scared or less scared of bugs. All I know is I saw a spider in the bathroom recently and I reached for a shield made of acorns that wasn't there and ran to my bedroom instead of a base made out of weeds.

Mostly quitting alcohol except for the occasional weekend was one of the best things I ever did.

Crazy how quick you can forget about it.

Yeah it's not the greatest. I have seen some incredibly good shows in the past year. But for every stsnd out there 10 or more tgmhat simply should not exist.

Anyway I'm mad at the number of anime I've gotten six episodes into only to realize there isn't a single good thing going on about it. Plots are tired, animations are getting lazier, characters are copy pasted across stories, and storyboard artists are copying the same homework.

The desire for good anime is so high that dozens of low-tier shows are getting released (and put into production, and animated, and voice acted, and holy shit they actually made this) to good reviews because we've convinced ourselves these things are watchable.

Sometimes I think about how life would have turned out differently if I had just stayed in Chicago this whole time.

Still strongly leaning towards moving back there in a few years. I miss it, especially around the holidays.
