Yes of course you don't want to spend recklessly and the commercial backbone the stadium provides is beyond commendable, but at this stage in the game, year after year, it all just seems so exhausting to me! You're basically admitting it can't get any better than this! You're 63! Sell! Rest!

Levy's statement is wild to me as it makes me think they're having to do *all this* — NFL, F1, Beyoncé, Kendrick, rugby, boxing etc etc — just to sign Timo Werner on loan twice in six months? After a while, what's the point? You've done loads of the hard work, just sell up now, surely?
What I’m saying is in Moore & Ajayi we have both wings and several trophies now sorted for a decade+
I know Elfsborg were tired & as a Bromley boy I am quite biased, but the way Ajayi took that goal! + the fact he’s very usefully a leftie… I dunno, it’s less-heralded academy kids that sometimes find a right place-right time, or maybe just suit men’s football for whatever reason.
I was only 14/15 but I can remember the 1997/98 relegation fight, & what imo ultimately felt decisive was bringing in experienced personalities like Klinsmann & Berti. You need know-how & players with the stomach for a scrap. The “project” needs temporarily shelving when they’re shopping this week.
Oh hang on, you're right! He's back off suspension!
I can’t tell you how much I’d love Grealish at Tottenham. Yes yes he’s racked up injuries, might never be the freewheeling Villa version again and hasn’t scored for 400 games but by god I fell for Spurs because of its mavericks & how we often gave homes to the ones in need! Jack in lilywhite please!
yep! That would be interesting too! Bit OTT but starting to feel like the treatment of Sonny is a little disrespectful
I know Timo is Timo, but they knew Timo was Timo when they signed him for a second time in six months so why not let the Timo you decided you liked so much be Timo with an occasional start and give your club captain and living legend a rest during the busiest time of the season
Sonny is obviously struggling massively atm, but good grief, why can’t Ange give him a rest. He’s so visibly exhausted!
Julia Davis and her black pudd’n the star of the Gavin & Stacey finale. She was on incredible form!
same
My main 'fear' is that he inevitably goes somewhere else and becomes the next Baresi. But then my common sense head tells me that he's never going to have enough on the ball to really be what Ange (or any coach wanting to build from the back) needs from a CB.
Having now watched the final episode: take it back about Boyzone, the Stephen Gately bit was lovely. But justice for Another Level!
the BBC’s Boybands Forever doc is great isn’t it? Fallen for Tony Mortimer all over again (the horror my mum experienced when I taught myself the words to Deep at 9 years old). What a lovely, talented man.
(Very funny how completely dismissive of Boyzone the doc’s producers are too btw 😅)
(even if it’s a very clear “let’s be the football Yankees/Dodgers and sell loads of baseball caps” play)
v into this business ngl
right then!
