I don’t get the. “It’s not the manager it’s the players” view. If the manager isn’t to blame for the bad times, he’s doesn’t get the credit for the good times & shouldn’t be paid millions of pounds for a job you’re saying shouldn’t exist. Bizarre. Slot in or out, this argument makes no sense to me.

Agreed but whatever has happened it doesn’t work. No1 is forcing him to play Cody. And he does 90% of the time. So he can’t complain when the decision is made.

To be clear; I’d work prefer to Slot to come good but I can’t keep seeing him shoot himself and us in the foot.

I love Slot. Delivered a title and got us through a dark time with Jota. But no-one is making him pick Cody and Mac, regardless of how they play. He’s paid millions and will be paid off millions when he inevitably leaves in summer.
