The Southern Poverty Law Center, which is best known for its tracking of hate groups, said that the Justice Department has launched a criminal investigation into the nonprofit regarding their use of informants.
They are physically grabbing citizens and illegally detaining them in those privately run “immigration prisons”

Folks, folks, FOLKS!
The useful thing about calling upon the 25th for a representative is that if there were an impeachment, that would actually call on them to do their jobs.
I wish they would, but watching the goings on in the House of Commons the last 2 days, I'm not sure theres shame enough for both countries.
In his defense, I can see why he thought Donald Trump would get along well within the Prince of Darkness.
The only part of this i consider sincere is the part where he admits to having low character.
He *still* talks about "white genocide" like its a thing. He's just shifted the frame to take advantage of the newly anti-Israel sentiment on the right, which has also changed somewhat who he aligns himself with.
Tucker Carlson is a sly opportunist, and always has been.
He was in on Trump from the beginning, his most effective propagandist for years, and he knew exactly what Trump's character and administration were.

I haven't been to Irvine in a while, but as of about 2018, it was pretty good. LA has a lot of stations, but during rush hour, they're all packed, unless its changed in the last year or so. And a lot of them are broken. Last year, the problem had even reached to Vegas.
There are definitely places in Southern California where there arent enough chargers, like LA. But thats partially because the pace of car sales outpaced station rollouts.
I took a very similar road trip a couple of years ago (Lancaster, CA to Seattle), and ended up charging at that very charging station.
If you ever have a chance, going up the 101 along the coast is amazing. And the charging stations are less busy I've found.
Palantir raises more red flags when you learn the CEO, Alex Karp is obsessed with speaking in German and describes himself as a socialist but doesn't believe in any leftist economic policies.
Crazy to see an organization named for a riot in which bricks were thrown at cops twist itself so badly to ingratiate itself to a well-funded hate movement.
Love how the little center panel implies that the EHRC's trans exclusionary policies is a part of some policy to halve violence against women. As if there's any connection between the two.
John Roberts, shadow president.
One ruling that seems to give Montana some of the strongest legal protections for trans people at the state level anywhere in the country.
1. In a landmark ruling, the Montana Supreme Court has declared that the constitution, one of the most progressive in the nation, entirely protects transgender people.
The ruling is even insulated from SCOTUS decisions, due to how state constitutions work.

In an instant, Montana went from pretty legally hostile to trans people to having some of the strongest state-level protections built right into the state Constution.
Cause if you think about it, there are basically none of the common attacks the anti-trans movement can use that would stand.
This decision is huge. The clause they interpreted as protecting trans people and guaranteeing accurate documents also bans discrimination by "firms, corporations, and institutions." Which wipes out many of the ways the anti-trans movement has targeted trans people.
I honestly kinda think it would be a great time to raise gas taxes. Less of the excess cost would go to the oil companies, more for infrastructure, including infrastructure that could reduce demand further.
Its fine when cis people do it.
this is why there’s been mass revolt and opposition to data centers being built in communities. it is genuinely a health hazard to live this close to something emitting this much sound. these need to stop being built
Its hard to imagine a more delegitimizing thing a state could do beyond openly declaring their intent to rule by fear. They might succeed for a time, but this is a death knell.

congratulations to the astronauts who get credit for a moon mission using rocket development work by trans women who had to quit their job and flee the state of florida and can’t celebrate this win with their coworkers
This is pretty wild: US federal agents who participated in the "Operation Metro Surge" immigration enforcement operation in and around Minneapolis have been given "Trump-themed challenge coins adorned with skulls".
