I know it would probably add a lot of complexity and tedium, but I love playing a mage in a lot of games. But most games just have them be ranged class with extra steps.

Lemme know if you know any games that do fun or complex spins on spellcasting/magic. (And yes I know about Noita)

If magic is all about preparation, I wonder why that aspect is so underrepresented, especially in a game format that not only allows but encourages it.

Build a little greenhouse to cultivate your material components, modify your terrain or use minions to buy time to cast spells. Etc.

I feel like there is a game idea that is sorely missing.

We have all of these sandbox games, but magic options in these are usually 'wand that blasts' or 'spellbook that has several options'.

How come spells aren't crafted consumables? Or there is some process to casting a spell?

Just finished watching through Delicious in Dungeon / Dungeon Meshi for the first time.

I wonder if anybody else caught a hint of neurodivergence from Laios? Especially in interactions with Kabru.

A little bit of that obsessive personality + lack of ability to read people.
