While in the human world, she spotted a girl that she was pretty enamored with.

The girl even helped her get back to Equestria, guiding her to the portal at Canterlot High.

It was pretty awkward running into Princess Twilight Sparkle when the other side of the portal spat her out in the castle.

Yes, Shadona has been to the human world. It was by complete accident when she accidentally stumbled into a portal that formed in the Everfree Forest.
