The email told me I no longer had to block off that week in my calendar because they won “a motion for summary judgment that created case law that will redound to the benefit of victims of federal police brutality beyond her case.”

Last week I got an email from lawyers I have been engaging with in the years since, who represent a client suing the government for police brutality that occurred at that protest. I gave them my footage, gave them my testimony, and planned to appear in court to testify in person later this year…
