which, yes, buying a $500 console is a huge privilege, but you’re not without content. if they were to have made this available on S1 and it inevitably ran like shit, folks would complain about nintendo releasing another unfinished game. (which i do agree is happening, just not in this case.)

my hot take about pokopia (and other S2-exclusive games) is that I don’t see an issue with it being device locked. it’s been known this was gonna be the course of action since the S2 was announced and now that it’s been out for 9 months, it makes sense to release content only for the newest console.
