I like the idea of Meetily, which runs entirely locally and therefore doesn't have the same privacy issues (although you should still declare that you're using it with other participants in a meeting). But I've never been able to get it to work properly for me.

The open web isn't dying. We're killing it Julien Genestoux thinks the open web needs netizens. I agree – and in 2026, that's indistinguishable from citizenry.

I love a really good pizza. I prefer Neapolitan-style if I can get it.

My slightly out there favorite topping? Roasted eggplant (not fried). I first had it at a pizza place in France when I was maybe 15 and it changed my whole conception of what pizza could be.

Design For The Roller Coaster A mantra to anticipate hard moments and design structures that make them safer

"Designing for the roller coaster means putting structure in place before you need it. It means making sure your team has shared ways to handle the moments when things get hard." And if you're doing something ambitious, they *will* get hard.

This is great as always. pointc.co/design-for-t...

@surf.social is super cool, if you use Bluesky for news reading I'd highly recommend checking it out, it files a lot of sharp edges off the experience while adding some really nice QOL improvements

You know? I’d like to correct myself here. Content management is *not* a solved problem. It is evolving and shouldn’t be set in stone. Everything is changing all the time.

But it’s not a problem you should solve by yourself.

Got the call. I can exhale now. Still answering questions though.

Strong +1 to that. Which is also why the whole AI makes things cheap to build idea is an illusion.

Harry Nilsson, but I don’t know if this is a place where I want to pick sides. Just gimme more interesting music to listen to.

Homemade, bespoke.

My take is: save your bespoke building to the stuff that uniquely makes you special. A CMS is not that. Content management is a solved problem.

The money is a real problem: it comes from a minority of high net worth funds and individuals. That’s a weak point: attack the funding sources and you shut down the newsrooms. It also highly depends on their business decisions and predilections. We need far more resilient, diverse business models.
