I love this new style you're developing. How the negative space is worked into the figures, the textures, how the simplified shapes are combined with some insane attention to detail. Good shit all around.

@zorak.bsky.social so, I assume the new scryfall treatment is a very cool and good April Fool's joke, but my old internet brain would also really like it if this were a skin users could somehow keep enabled
Dreamed I made it to the final-round video interview for a senior editorial position. I performed the opening dialog from Symphony of the Night, in a home-made costume designed so my left profile was Richter and my right profile was Dracula. Six months later I received a boilerplate rejection email.
A screenshot from Slay the Spire 2 that shows a potion belt holding 9 potions (the Potion Belt relic and Alchemical Coffer relic are also visible). The Delicate Frond relic is highlighted to show it's description: "At the start of each combat, fill all empty potion slots with random potions."
Not the most busted thing that can happen, but sufficiently busted nonetheless. Slay the Spire 2 is neat.
Like they’ve been making the same songs with the same politics for 20 years now. Worker’s Song was 2003. Nazi punks fuck off.
I’ve never been the biggest Dropkick fan but idk how you fuck up their politics that bad outside of willful ignorance
Even if you’re a die-hard punk I feel like Dropkick tracks are best seen as a reliable way to fill out a playlist and if that isn’t working class solidarity then idk what is
[elder millennial voice] I also knew a thing or two about “mogging” back in my day: the only way to learn Water Rondo was to go back through the Serpent Trench, which meant taking the ferry from South Figaro to Nikeah to get back to your airship—and you had to do it *before* the World of Ruin
I felt similarly, to the point where I found the difficulty discussion confusing. It’s hard, but nothing crazy. I mean, I’ve been playing metroidvanias for like 30 years and—oh. Oh, that’s probably why.
An article snippet from The Economic Times titled, “Word of the day: Verisimilitude.” Its header image is AI slop showing a gnarled and wrinkled appendage that looks like a cross between a hand and a foot, and it’s clutching onto a piece of chalk. A chalkboard next to it reads, “Verisimillitue,” underlined twice.
using AI to make this header image in specific feels like a bit

Lucy ranking off the chart
I cannot adequately convey the degree to which that whisper fucked 2001 me up the first time I heard it. a fitting horseman imo
similarly, I love how anti-fanfare the "you just beat the boss" jingle from Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon sounds. it feels conclusive, but it's such an uncertain, weary, temporary conclusion.

goddamn this is so fucking good holy shit
you did a great job explaining the text and its context—super helpful as someone who missed this book entirely aside from vague awareness—and part 3 was a really compelling argument about how the story still manages to stand on its own, completely aside from its author's intent. a good video 👍

A screenshot of the Google Trends page for "crab rave" over the past seven days, showing a large spike of interest today.
I've been playing these games since Metroid and Castlevania II. Silksong is the most well-crafted and considered entry into this genre I've ever played. if you’re looking for a secret, do you keep hitting a wall in the same spot, or do you hit everywhere you can until you find the one breakable bit?
my Silksong hot take, now that I'm at 100%, is that most—*most*—of the complaints I've seen are from someone bashing their head against a wall instead of looking for alternate solutions. runback obnoxious? or did you miss a better route? boss unfair? or were you being too aggro/reactive?
An article from the Anker blog titled, “What Is a Power Bank & Why Should You Even Care?”
never mind, they nailed this one
An article from the Anker blog titled, “How to Ensure Charging Safe with Power Banks”
An article from the Anker blog titled, “Does Charging Power Bank with Power Bank Work? Here to Tell.”
titles could use some work
ok so like at a certain point the creepy-horny becomes *statistically significant* creepy-horny and I feel like "suggestive statues of all the women in Sucker Punch" is so far over the line that its scientific study would tangibly contribute to the overall good of society
I didn’t start using the shower in this way until my late 20s so the label seems legit to me
I know I’ve said this before, but this new style you’re developing (vs your pixels) is just so fucking good. I love the texture, the neo-retro stylization, the blending of negative space with the dominant color of their dress. And here you’ve outdone yourself with her expression, dang
Been working on this for the last few months, and it's really really important to me. We've got some really cool games and folks. Please come by and watch the stream and donate!
this is quite good.
I have not had adequate time to express it recently but your art is very good and I am glad you make it.
This was me last year: whole office closed after 12 years. You did make a great Dark Souls LP once, so I’m sure you’ll find your footing. My condolences and good luck!
*in costume*
I was an altar server in my teens and feel like I was paid well below rate for a scene where I had to wash several pairs of priest/deacon feet in front of an entire congregation
