Two robotic mecha suited dogs, one bipedal, the other as more of a tank, attacking a leaf blowing in the wind, their sworn enemy. Made with Copilot.

My dogs as Gundams (fighting Jefferson's sworn enemy, a leaf blowing in the wind).

OK, maybe AI isn't so bad.

NEW: As Hurricane Helene barreled toward Yancey County in North Carolina, communities along the Cane River in the Black Mountains were particularly vulnerable.

But there were no evacuation orders, and few grasped what was coming.

Great review. I need them to hurry up and make a Pillsbury Dough Boy and Green Giant.

Drag x Drive - Official Announcement Trailer | Nintendo Switch 2 Direct - IGN DESC: An upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 game that utiilize the Joy-Con 2 mouse controls for a 3v3 PvP sports game where players control their wheelchairs to play a basketball like game.

What's gonna get MAGA folks more up in arms today, the tariffs all but guaranteed to lead us (further?) into recession or the understated disability representation of Nintendo's newly announced wheelchair basketball game?

I feel pretty certain "Freedom," "Redvolution," or "Quicksand" is a code for what firepower you want and maybe where you want it, not just colors of roses. Then again, if that's the case maybe I shouldn't be posting about this at all... esfenix.com

A logo for Esfenix International, featuring a winged letter S with a sword vertically aligned through the letter's curves, all on a circular background.

Saw this logo on a ramshackle building in an industrial part of town. Now guess what this organization does. I guarantee you're wrong. There is NO WAY this is the logo for a flower wholesaler, regardless of the online presence. I'm thinking a clandestine weapons or mercenary group, a la John Wick.

I'm taking that to mean T.R.A.P. was ranked too low so you had to smite the list.

I used this to match outlet covers to newly painted walls and it worked wonderfully.

In a case of something not at all related to current events, did you know that paint stores can have your house paint put into a spray paint can? It's so incredibly useful I'm surprised this isn't common knowledge (just shared this with a handyman today).

I remember that James Blake year at SXSW. I stood in line for hours to see him at a church and it was so worth it. Made me never want to see him again since I don't think that experience can be topped.

I once spent days upon days scouring the entire Internet for the perfect Paddington (it even has soft goods!). It has magnetic joints and one came unglued in transit. I re-glued it but backwards (doh!). Now one leg refuses to connect (cuz you know, magnets) and I've spent years too annoyed to fix it

By "almost" you mean "went back and got it and now own it proudly," yes?

I had a whole lot of HR Giger, The Crow, and eventually SO MANY comic book posters (DC's Vertigo line, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, etc.). I was clearly going through a bit of a phase.

One thing Musk could do that would actually be helpful is to loosen the stranglehold dealerships have over car sales. That could serve his financial interests *and* those of the populace. Makes too much sense so it'll obviously never happen. Instead he'll put peeing Calvin on the $5 bill.

Still getting used to Bluesky. No algorithm shoving things into my feed keeps things reasonable...except for the tonal whiplash. It's hard swings from album reviews & nerd nonsense to fascism & apocalyptic updates and back again. Basically just like not-Bluesky. And real life.

Is there a term for the sort of singularity that happens when there's absolutely no gap between reality and its satire? I bet there's a word in German.

I did that just a couple of days ago with an eBay sale. It really does feel just shy of seeing the formation of a star.

Finally deleted my many Meta accounts after archiving everything, which took way longer than I thought it would. While this isn't quite an FB analog, The Pinksky app scratches the Instagram itch. Give it a shot.

It's too bad the third party MK figures were total trash. I was hoping those would be a good 1/12 option but nope.
