Are you counting characters from sequels/ a show? The characters barely had any lines in the movie if any. Are we really giving credit for the portrayal of silent women and screeching aliens that might be female? 😭

A movie such as Kpop demon Hunters is unique because they don’t end up partnered up with the guys, but having a great time anyways
Meanwhile, we have plenty of single male role models who are portrayed as being happy just the way they are, they are cool, forever young, handsome, sexy bachelors who go from one girl to another, but remain free spirited and never tied down
Overall there are super few media where women are independent, find joy in their careers or other hobbies. Their happy end is always marriage and being a mother or at the very least to end up with a boyfriend.
In Lilo and Stitch you have 4? Female characters, the rest are male. Toy Story - 3 female characters, two are basically just “the partner to the guy” and the list goes on and on…
If there were female characters in the movie their roles generally can be reduced to: wife, or single, old, evil and ugly witch/aunt, or a tomb-boyish girl because girls can only have adventures when they think girly stuff is lame
There’s barely any Disney/Pixar movie with women in a position of power. All the princesses needed help from some “big strong guy”. I’m trying to rake my brain for prominent female characters from those studios but they all, always had a hand-full of men at their sides

Artists are allowed to draw characters they want. If they want to draw Alastor with more meat on his bones or a chubby Husk they are as free to do that as drawing skinny versions of fatter characters
People demanding for victims to act a certain way are the worst. People deal with things in different ways. Some people may be deeply traumatized by an event while other, going through the same experience are completely unaffected. Some may try to avoid what happened others may seek it out to heal
How you phrased it is perfectly fine but other variants of that meaning can of course come across as bashing other people’s ships and there’s no need for that. The only reason I could imagine it becoming relevant is when someone forced you to look at their fanart/writing but that rarely happens

I think that’s perfectly A-Okay if you want to play around with it. But it’s not okay if that’s your canon view of her and get mad at creators for your misinterpretation. So many people complain about Charlie being this or that but their complaints remind me more of certain fanfics than the canon
It’s great to read all kinds of characterizations and developments in fanfic but sometimes it is hard to tell if people consider their OoC characterizations as real or not…
Yes, Charlie is shown to make mistakes but she learned from them. In some fanfics she barely has any character development and if there is, it only happens after Vaggi and her are threatened by multiple characters
I love and adore fanfiction but sometimes I wonder if people write Charlie like an ignorant spoiled brat, trampling on people’s boundaries and feelings because they need a villain for plot convenience or because they watch the show and truly see her that way.
It’s always astonishing how much energy people put onto complaining about fictional characters while turning into real life bullies and villains 🥲
The same people would complain about Val being one dimensional if he didn’t have the nuance he does. Some people simply shouldn’t be allowed on the internet because they can’t moderate their own consumption habits
Yes… Velvette is the one creating, marketing and selling the daye rape drug. Not sure how that makes her and Vox better. Vox supports and manages the sexual slavery too. He’s the one luring people in. Just because he makes the other two do the “hands on dirty work” doesn’t make him less evil
The serial killer, manipulater, enabler, sexual harasser and abuser along with the abuser who’s also creating a rape drug are better? It’s fine to like villains but they’re not really better or worse from one another
Vox is also an enabler. They’re all toxic people but together they just raise each other to new levels
