The creator hasn't responded to anyone since Tuesday though so I'm afraid they might have been scared away. We'll see.
Anyway, I've been thinking about this since I read it on Tues.

Like, apparently the site is run on Wordpress and I don't find it the easiest to browse/filter and there's currently only 11 podfics posted so I don't know how it's going to handle any sort of real volume. That said, I don't actually know the backend, nor the skillset of the creator so would have>
To be fair, I think the creator has good intentions but doesn't know enough about running archives, what kind of traffic a site like this might get, nor what fans expect from a fan-run site these days.
Not too many people responded to the post, but I feel bad for the creator because they only had 2 positive responses, a few mixed responses, but probably mostly negative responses.
Anyway, the other day it brought me to Reddit post of someone announcing that they've build a podfic platform/archive: www.reddit.com/r/FanFiction...
I don't really consider myself part of podfic fandom these days since I don't really participate that much anymore, but I do still follow some podfic communities and have a google search that I setup years ago that I still check. Which mostly links to less traditional places like Reddit and Youtube
Like, I'm sure it's not going to be important that none of the reports will reflect the changes, right? Potentially 100s of people are having job title/manager/permission changes happening, we can totally do that with next to no warning on a Sunday (our org is 7 days/week, but IT isn't!). >.>
lol, so my company is reorganizing an internal department that 1/3 of employees fall under and IT keeps begging to be be told more about the changes (happening March 1st!) because we're sooooo not prepared for it.
Yeah, that was my thought. ai_podfic has very different connotations now vs then.
lol, I saw someone reccing my podfic 101 tutorial, which is so old at this point, and I had created at the time to encourage more Kradam podfic. Anyway, the reccer made a point of clarifying that the ai in the link (hosted on ai_podfic on LJ) stood for American Idol, not Artificial Intelligence. 🤦
And! It's still frigging cold in here!
There are 8 desks in this office and only 3 of us have to come into work everyday (the other 5 are hybrid), guess which 3 cubes don't have power now? *sigh*
Meanwhile, I'm still freezing, wearing two seaters and gloves at my desk. My coworker two desks over is also freezing while also pregnant. Since we weren't fully sure if the heater caused the issue we plugged it in at her desk and guess who also doesn't have power now?
I ran the heater all day Monday with no issues, was off yesterday and turned it on again this morning. Maybe half an hour later my desk looses power and so did some of the room next door. We've had maintenance take a look but they can't find the breaker for it so now I'm waiting for an electrician.
So, my office at work is fucking cold all the time. Like, I regularly wear two sweaters and gloves at my desk. It was 18 degrees in here on Monday when I found one of those little heaters in the office and plugged it in and managed to get the whole room up to 20 degrees.
Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.
Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.
My family talked a surprising lot about this show over Christmas. I haven't watched it, but my sisters did/planned to. But also, it's so rare for a Canadian show like this to get such an international reception.
“All the extra money that people are paying at the grocery stores, paying in rent and mortgage interest, that money is going somewhere,” @davidmaccdn.bsky.social said. “One of the places that it’s going is to much higher corporate profits in Canada.” #inequality www.ctvnews.ca/canada/artic...
A four panel cartoon with a little girl sitting on Santa's lap. Panel 1, Little girl: For Christmas I want a dragon! Panel 2, Santa: Be realistic. Panel 3, Little girl: Then I want the New Outlook to be better than Classic Panel 4, Santa has pulled out his list and the little girl has tears in her eyes, Santa: What color do you want for your dragon? Coworker just sent this to the groupchat and I'm dying.
Oh man, I love the trope of pining while fucking, but I didn't know what to call it! I shall have to check out that tag!
You've got to figure the type of person who'd go to Stonehenge on the Solstice is also the type of person to completely lose their shit when encountering a random black cat there
So, my youngest nephew got his driver's license today, and guess what he was proudest of? That his official height was taller than his older brother's. 😂
Something that hasn't been made clear: Firefox will have an option to completely disable all AI features.
We've been calling it the AI kill switch internally. I'm sure it'll ship with a less murderous name, but that's how seriously and absolutely we're taking this.

Ok, false alarm, the doctor said my test results were fine. I had done one of those peripheral vision tests and felt like I spent a long time not seeing anything.
I've had IIH for almost 10byears now, with no signs of vision loss (rare) is today going to be the day that changes? I should be seeing the doctor again after the test so I at wast won't be stuck in this unknown/worrying stage for long.
I'm at the eye doctors and feel like I just failed the test. 😬
Oh man, I don't know what's going on but there have been so many fires at work lately. I'm glad the building I work at is staff-only, the worst we normally get is the occasional power out.
It's not that I've never felt FOMO, but I do believe I've felt ROMO more often?
