Film is even more odd now with ai imaging around that can mimic many forms of imagery in terms of output, in terms of results, but cannot reproduce the experience of making images, of the process involved.

I remember when it used to seem funny to people to say I traveled to other countries to taste coffee. Like it was just some weird capricious thing I did. Entering Australia once I told customs I traveled for coffee and they laughed and said that wasn’t a reason to travel.
