I mean, there was an artist that i liked called Noirenard who clearly dislike straight people, no one of her OCs are straight (maybe one was) and when she could she made them queer. Peak inclusivity!
One of the biggest hypocrisies of the LGBT community is the concept of inclusion: they talk a lot about including everyone, but then their OCs are only LGBT; there's never a single straight person. Very inclusive, for sure.

The relationship between James and Mary is really poorly shown. Why do they kiss so much? Enough! They had more chemistry in the game, you could feel their connection and they barely saw each other compared to this! Too much problems in this movie. It seems that Gans didn't understand the game
The pacing is terribly managed and the story is confusing. They put the ending "In Water" (yay!) but it's all rushed and doesn't really feel fleshed out.
The beauty of Mary was that she was a normal woman. She wasn't caught up in these surreal things. The game was great because it presented real situations that could happen to anyone. What the hell is this bs?
Also the cult is pretty useless. The psychologist is very poorly integrated.
Angela, Maria and Laura are representations of Mary, while in the game only Maria was, the other two were real people. I didn't like the cult element. Why Mary was the daughter of the cult leader of the town, she was drugged for rituals and James euthanizes her.
