“You shouldn’t have to overthink anything like that Ruby. Especially since Cassie and her family absolutely adore you and I hope you never forget about it okay?”

Kate is going to place a gentle hand against Ruby’s shoulder now to make sure that she feels quite a lot of comfort.

“I wouldn’t change it now Tess. I think I would be rather lost if we changed this especially the twins. I never thought I get the chance to be a mother again but here we are and I love it.”

Kate is going to smile now, leaning in and presses a soft kiss to her lips whilst pulling her close.

Kate is going to nod her head now to Ellie’s words and is going to soon grab the shopping trolley before turning her attention onto Ellie once more.

“Alright shall we get going dear? Now make sure you stay near me alright? It’s going to get super crowded in here.”

“I’m sure they would absolutely adore you Ruby and you don’t need to read too much into it. I’m sure if they had an issue wouldn’t Cassie have already spoke to you about it?”

Kate is going to place a comforting hand against Ruby’s shoulder but is a little bit concerned about her.

“Well that and I was so attached to work that I didn’t even realise that there was a possibility of me being in love one day and having a wife. I really just didn’t think it be a thing.”

Kate is going to smile over at Tess, giving her hand a gentle squeeze and presses a soft kiss to her lips.

“She wouldn’t? That really doesn’t sound like your mother at all. Perhaps maybe she could come and stay with us for a while? It be nice to have you all visit.”

Kate is going to park the car once they get to Asda and is cutting off the engine whilst smiling at her niece again.

“I think that would be a wonderful idea to meet both her parents and if they do get on in the same space than it’s even better don’t you agree? Wait? Isn’t her father ant man?”

Kate is now going to fold her arms across her chest but there is a clear hint of curiosity in her eyes as well.

“Oh well I’m sure they are bound to take after both of us. I mean if you would have told me years ago that I would have twins I really wouldn’t have believed you.”

Kate is going to lean forward now and presses a soft kiss against the top of her wife’s head and smiles happily.

“I’m starting to think that maybe I need to speak to your mother about all of this. It’s getting a little bit worrying don’t you think? Her behaviour is- let’s just say I’m worried.”

Kate is going to gently squeeze Ellie’s hand and finally pulls her into a gentle hug when they are at a red light.

“Well the best thing I can recommend is get to know her family. Get to know her father and mother if she’s got them. If you’re serious about her Ruby then you need to show the commitment.”

Kate is going to place a gentle hand against Ruby’s shoulders whilst smiling over at her fine again.

“Most likely they could inherit my stubborn nature. Which means you may have to end up dealing with two extremely stubborn twins. But hey we love it right darling?”

Kate is going to let out a faint chuckle with her attention back on Tess once again as she’s smiling over at her.

“Why has your mum been upset recently? Don’t tell me your father did something stupid again because if he did I swear I’m this close to having words with the man myself.”

Kate is going to shake her head slightly, a little worried about her younger sister and being quite sad.

“I had no idea that one of the members still sings and does it with her son. Look at that you learn something new every day don’t you Ellie?”

Kate’s glancing over at Ellie again before speaking up whilst keeping her attention on the car. “Your mum is a big fan of their music too.”

“Well I’m not exactly a saint in romance Ruby. I mean I do know things about it but every relationship is different. You what you think is right and the rest will come naturally.”

Kate is giving Ruby’s shoulder a gentle squeeze before moving away so that she can make them both some more tea.

“I also think that it’s just a bit of a Lethbridge-Stewart thing to be honest with you. But don’t worry about it Tess I promise you that we will learn to try and at least accept a break or two.”

Kate is letting out a faint laughter now as she’s placing a gentle hand against Tess’s waist again.

“Of course we can. Here you know how to work my phone and the music. It’s already hooked up to the speaker anyways so you can put on whatever you like.”

Kate doesn’t quite mind the music Ellie picks since she’s quite good at tuning it out and listening to her niece talk whenever she does.

“Yeah that probably would be a wise idea especially since I don’t know how to feel if she drowned in a washing machine. Be a bit of an interesting way to go out however I give you that.”

Kate’s shaking her head softly at her words with her attention now back on Ruby once again and smiles.

“You think I’m bad my sister is worse. She’s never really taken a vacation day either since she’s just as much of a workaholic as I am. I think she’s worse than me.”

Kate is going to let out a faint chuckle now, her hands coming to her hips as she’s looking over at Tess now.

Kate is going to let out a soft chuckle as she’s getting into the car, closing the door and puts on her seatbelt whilst making sure that Ellie is strapped in and soon starts the car.

“Tell you what why don’t we stock up on some Bluey themed snacks and stuff? Just so you have some here too.”

“I would class it as a secret talent especially since how many people can say they fall asleep in the comfort of someone’s pocket? Honestly she looks adorable there.”

Kate’s taking one last look at Cassie who’s using a receipt as a blanket which makes her chuckle even more.

“I can handle two weeks. Maybe we can bring my sister and her family along? I think that would be nice if we go on a massive family vacation together. Plus my sister probably needs a break herself.”

Kate is now opening up her laptop, pulling up some holiday websites and begins to take a look.

Kate’s going to open the curtains to see if it’s sunny or not and soon turns to Ellie whilst grabbing her jacket just in case since they can’t fully trust the UK weather.

“We’ll it’s quite warm right now but we should take our jackets just in case it does rain. You don’t need to wear it.”

Kate is going to let out a faint chuckle now, her hand coming to gently pat Ruby on her back before she’s glancing down at Cassie who’s still snoozing away.

“Look at how cute she is. And she’s still sleeping? How does she still sleep through everything and more?”

Kate is going to let out a little bit of a chuckle to what Tess is saying with her soon pressing a soft kiss to her lips whilst her hand is coming to rest against her cheek.

“You know what I think I could maybe manage two weeks. Only if you want to at least attempt two weeks away.”

“I haven’t but thank you Ellie maybe I will talk to your mother about how I’m feeling with the whole situation. Now why don’t you go and get dressed I have to go Asda.”

Kate is going to gently hug Ellie back in return and is soon getting up to start cleaning up the bowls from breakfast.

“Well as long as you think it’s adorable and not something annoying then that’s all what matters. Maybe it could be because this is something that’s new to you?”

Kate is going to smile softly at Cassie who’s just snoozing in Ruby’s pocket and let’s out a faint laughter at the sight.

“Are you sure? I know you was looking forward to this whole idea of a vacation and I don’t want to look like an ass doing some work in the corner of the room.”

Kate is going to give Tess a gentle kiss to the cheek since she does want to make this a vacation to remember.

“I don’t think she kept them to be honest. After we drifted apart when I left for college we didn’t really speak. I think your mom held that against me for a long time.”

Kate’s going to let out a little sigh with her soon turning her attention onto Ellie once again whilst sipping her tea.

Kate is going to frown ever so slightly as she’s glancing at Cassie who’s still sleeping in Ruby’s pocket and simply is going to pat the pocket a little bit to see if it jolts her.

However, Cassie is sleeping perfectly which makes Kate chuckle a little. “She’s out like a light isn’t she?”

“You know it’s going to be difficult right? I mean for me anyways since I have never really let loose before and wouldn’t know what to do.”

Kate’s going to rub her eyes slightly with her soon letting out a little bit of a groan at the hot water on her skin.
