Sure, no difference between the Power of Positive Thinking math giving you an answer of 600% and actual math giving you an answer of 1.66%. This is a stupid enough explanation to be believable.
wow this guy’s got no quit in him
Same thing with the “germaphobe” thing, it gets repeated as something true and we find out later he is insisting on not wearing a condom with a porn actress he meets at a golf tournament.
dr manhattan on mars panel 1: It is 2026. I am still watching NYC sports panel2: An eternity of nothingness yet filled with the constant bombardment of cosmic suckage particles panel 3: all we ever see of championships are their old photographs
made this for my buddy in NYC who somehow chose both the mets and jets to dedicate his life to
This is my brother-in-law as well. I was a groomsman at his wedding and had to wear Jets green Converse. The man has chosen to suffer.
This is even funnier now knowing he was the QB who lost to Columbia and ended their 44 game losing streak.
Much of America’s middlebrow and mid-budget content moved from film to TV/streaming. People point to the 70s as the high water mark of cinema but how prevalent were those films versus the reels of middling dreck studios put out? Or how many awful serials came out during the Golden Age of Hollywood?
we all knew this would be the case and it really does just highlight the gender of it all.

Personal theory: the Patriots organization believes they can only be good if they are coached by a messy, gruff bitch who creates and loves drama.
Reasons, in order:
- Bad cost estimate then Congress killed it
- CNO Richardson
- Mediocre idea that Congress forced the Navy to buy
- End of the Cold War, then Congress killed it
- Congress killed it (honorable mention to GWOT)
- Narcissism
- Obscene requirements
- the F-35B
- Requirements creep
pharmacists are fujoshi. "pharmacist" is an oppressive class, like evangelical people or Sicilian people.
It's about time the spoiled, coddled, and pampered mariners fans experienced some adversity
lol, lmao
We have decades and decades of research into the effects of cigarettes on human health. We have very little about the effects of vaping. If you go from breathing smoke to breathing vaporized chemicals, is this an improvement in behavior or a lateral move?
It’s hard to get a handle on vape use year over year (cigarettes tracking is actually easy) but vape adoption has way less to do with health and everything to do with decades of declining cigarette sales. Is it better than smoking cigarettes?
If they settle, I think it's an impeachable offense for both him and the AG.
Oddly the post-1917 flu era saw a peak of nativism, racism, and union-busting. Similar eras.
Edgelord: The Series
It’s never going to not be amazing to me that Peter’s solo directorial credits go Movie 43 —> Green Book with nothing in between, even if Green Book routinely makes the list of “Best Picture winners that shouldn’t have won.” And now, this.
Saw some weird debris in my samurai toad lily pot and lifted it up only to discover 5 little rabbits under it. It’s been an odd day.
The thing about religious conservatives, not all but most, is that religion is used as justification for political conservatism, because liberalism, in their view, cannot win against the authority of God. When Christian leaders speak out against conservative policies adherence to the policy wins out
I mean look, a Labour government *cannot* cut welfare spending to increase defence spending. It’s just silly to pretend it can.
And more generally: “cut social spending to rearm” is just awful advice across the EU. Is Europe more or less secure if populists win elections?
Bonkus of the Conkus has been an intrusive phrase in my head for a solid four days now. it's partially because, obviously, very funny combination of words. the other reason is that Olive Oyl's reaction reads exactly like a Naomi Wolf tweet.
He’s very, very wrong.

We all love Grandma! Happy birthday!
The DTS had such low miles on it (26k) that the salespeople didn’t believe it at first. The guy who scanned it into their system had to check the odometer a couple of times to make sure he was reading it correctly. 26k. We rarely leave the city, which is a big part of why we got an EV.
I didn’t want an SUV but I need something with a cargo area I can actually fit stuff in (you could fit several people in the DTS’s trunk) and the cameras and sensors and driver assists make it feel way less bulky and unwieldy than I expected.
