That’s what I’ve heard! Thanks a ton.
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. Wife balks at the idea of Kia, but it feels like there kind of…isn’t anything else? I guess a Tesla but no way am I putting my kids in one of those.
Kia? See if I can reserve and lock in a Volvo? Honda? Will I be able to lock in a price if the inventory isn’t there yet? Because I think it’s a matter of weeks before this becomes an impossibility for us
Original plan was to wait a year or two for more and cheaper 3 row all electrics to enter the market and…uh…seems the plan should change…
Was just looking at cars yesterday, very similar situation (2 car seats) but would love to be able to transport my family + 1-2 other adults from time to time. Hoping to go all electric, can charge at home, lots of charge infra in our area, but want ability to travel far if needed.
My father-in-law is a retired contractor and tows around his trailer with a beat up Honda Odyssey!
We know we can’t compete that well on compensation packages with many peers so we take the risk that we can land someone early even though that sometimes means they turn us down to keep options open. Doesn’t feel *great* but not sure what other options we have…
We ran searches in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Deadlines were in mid-to-late October, first round interviews in early November, campus interviews right after Thanksgiving and offers just before the holidays. When offers were turned down, we were able to bring more visits in the spring.
