That was just far too passive of a performance. You don't get many genuine opportunities to win away from home in the Champions League, but when they come along, you need to be far more assertive, especially when you have so much control of the game, that's 2pts dropped, IMO.

Celtic really comfortable in possession, probably the most comfortable I've seen away from home in the CL, but have been far too safe in the final 3rd, Kyogo really sloppy in his link up, Bernardo the best player on the pitch, don't think there'll be any HT subs, just wee tweaks.
That was Cameron Carter-Vickers' best performance of the season tonight, IMO. The conditions didn't faze him at all, he was imperious and just about held Trusty and Johnston together single handedly, that block at the end was as good as it gets, a true on field general, the best.
I fancy Rangers to be ahead of them by New Years day to be honest but I agree, I don't think there's a great deal between them, the next three games against each other will play a huge factor in who finishes above whom, IMO.
Tough run of results for Aberdeen. After an unbelievable start, they're at 1 win in 5.
Important they stay calm. They've massively outperformed their XG all season and sooner or later, that catches up with you. They're in a great position to have a good first season under Jimmy Thelin.
Rangers are so boring, an entertainment vacuum, they could cure insomnia.
That was poor from St Johnstone, all afternoon all they wanted to do was be safe, short passes mostly back the way, looked like they were playing rugby, there was something in that game for them if they were more positive, why play with 2 up & Nicky Clark & don't look to hit them
Celtic's league form...

Away: P7 W7 D0 L0 GF22 GA2 Pts21
๐ it's been a while since it's felt appealing.
40 goals scored in 13 League games tells it's own story for Celtic, but it's goals conceded that's been remarkable, the four they've lost was a penalty, a deflection, a world class pass & an outstanding strike, it's taking something special/unusual to even score against Celtic.
I've no seen any of the game yet, but I thought they looked good on Tuesday and it would've been really harsh if they lost that game, so coming back twice showed a real fight and desire, good to hear that they've carried that on to today, big preseure on Hearts tomorrow now.
Excellent win once again for Dundee United, back to joint 3rd, putting serious pressure on Rangers for that guaranteed European spot.
Tremendous result for Hibs, I was surprised the bookies had them as favourites pre-game, especially with how big a price Motherwell were, but you never see a skint bookie, 3 zip and sent Hearts to the bottom of the League is a good day for the Hibees, is this shoots of recovery?
FT: Celtic 5-0 Ross County
Intensity understandably wasn't quite at the same level 2nd half, but Celtic didn't phone it in, Jack Hamilton made three great saves from Idah (twice) & Valle and Celtic hit the woodwork three times, could've easily been 8 or 9, very good performance.
HT: Celtic 5-0 Ross County
Devastating half from Celtic, Brendan Rodgers rang the changes & all of them came in looking like they've got a point to prove, four scored, Scales has been immense but Luke McCowan with a goal & 3 assists stole the show, Idah & McGregor with unbelievable strikes.
It's been 17 years since Celtic have had more points in the Champions League after five games, obviously this is a new format and can't be compared to previous seasons, but the revamp has given clubs from smaller nations an opportunity to compete again in Europe's premier competition.
I don't think any of the midfield had a great night, tbh, they really struggled with Brugge's press and how well they cut off their passing lanes.
FT: Celtic 1-1 Brugge
This can be a massive point for Celtic, with how that game developed it's a point gained rather than 2 dropped IMO, Brugge were tactically superb & looked technically superior, unbelievable goal from Maeda, huge learning curve but still in a great position.
Club Brugge the best team in that 1st half, everything from their press to their confidence & ability on the ball has been far more fluent than Celtic's, feels like they've got more players on the park, despite that it took Celtic conceding a typically mental goal to be the difference.
FT: Hibernian 3-3 Aberdeen
What a game, first half wasn't great, but the second half was tremendous, 3 goals in injury time, two equalisers from Hibs, showing a real desire to lift themselves off the foot of the table, Aberdeen will be disappointed but it could be a big point.
GOAL ABERDEEN - what a game
GOAL HIBS: NICKY CADDEN
Incredible ping from the freekick on the edge of the box 2-2
Another goalkeeping disaster class from another Hibernian keeper.
GOAL ABERDEEN: Nicky Devlin gives the Dons the lead
GOAL ABERDEEN: Jamie McGrath
HT: Hibernian 1-0 Aberdeen
Not a great deal of quality in the game but it's been a battle, both teams are working really hard but just haven't had the quality in the final 3rd, Newell's deflected effort past Mitov the difference at the break.
I'm watching on Hibs TV.
GOAL HIBS: Newell with a 25 yarder, massive deflection wrong foots Mitov.
Looks like the Hibees have voted with their feet tonight, Easter Road looks like a ghost town.
Aberdeen, on the other hand are having a tremendous season, but they're going into this game after their first League defeat of the season, the Dons are averaging 2.58 points per game and a win tonight could take them level on points with league leaders Celtic.
