What do you keep in your home disaster kit?

Remember the essentials:
- Nonperishable, self stable food
- 1-2gal/water per person per day
- First Aid Kit
- Weather Radio
- Flashlights
- Batteries

- Interior room with no windows on the lowest level of a sturdy structure (well constructed home or building)
- Basement or storm shelter preferred
- NOT a manufactured or mobile home (including RVs)

Absolutely. When the power's out, internet and cellular data services are severely impacted. Many cell towers will be without data connections, or will be degraded or unreliable during a crisis.

A battery powered, NOAA All Hazard Radio is a safe bet in a pinch.

Are you #StormReady? April and May are active months for severe thunderstorms and #tornadoes, with #hurricane season starting in June.

Ask your household, do we:
- Know our safe space?
- Know our evacuation zones & routes?
- Have access to an emergency radio?
