I used this book to press my tofu tonight.
It brought me joy.
Roger Freedman @RogerFreed... • 3d v In pressing your tofu, you were applying a normal force (Chapter 4) and increasing the bulk stress on the tofu (Chapter 11). Well played!

I've said it before and I'll say it again there are better stories about wizards, or mage academies, or chosen ones and Great Old Evils. It is by no means a genre owned or created by that evil slug woman. There are so many better books that explore those concepts WAY better.
READ ANOTHER BOOK.

A screenshot of a blank Excel spreadsheet showing the "Page 1" that shows when you use the page layout of view and blocks all of the other information you might be trying to use on this spreadsheet.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those who use the page layout view in Excel and those who regard those people has absolutely insane.

Forest Service vegetation plot marker in old-growth forest near Spirit Lake, Mount St. Helens, 1979. Red and yellow striped survey pole with white sign reading "03 01 391" stands among tall conifer trees with blue-tinted undergrowth. This plot documented pre-eruption forest composition at the species level. Photo: USDA Forest Service, 1979.
Same vegetation plot location after May 18, 1980 eruption, showing complete devastation. Survey pole with sign reading "03 01 391" stands in gray ash-covered wasteland. All traces of old-growth forest erased by pyroclastic flows reaching 1300°F (700°C). Broken volcanic terrain visible in background under blue sky. Photo: USDA Forest Service, 1980.
The U.S. Forest Service documented this vegetation plot near Spirit Lake in 1979—a careful species-level inventory of an old-growth forest.
After May 18, 1980, they returned to the same coordinates and put up another marker. Same spot. Different planet.

I will once again say, as I do perennially: drive to the merge. Don't merge over 2000 feet ahead of the lane reduction. It does no one any good.

You're absolutely right — you found it, it's been with you a long while, and it's only natural to feel fond of something that's served you so well, especially when someone like Gandalf suddenly seems to want it for himself.
