“Libraries exist to make space for every story and every lived experience,” ALA President Sam Helmick said in a statement. “As we celebrate National Library Week, we reaffirm that libraries are places for knowledge, for access, and for all.”
The kind of AI that techbros and governments are pushing is not the internet, or cell phones, or personal computers, or heavier than air flying machines, or the wheel.
It's the digital equivalent of asbestos, plastics, teflon, and lead.
And if you’d like to be emailed a love letter template, dm me here!
It's finally #NationalLibraryWeek! Thank you to everyone who has signed up to send a #RI #library a love letter! Even if you haven’t signed up you can still take time to reflect on what you love about your library and/or stop in and say hi and thank you to your librarians!

Be sure to visit your library or ilovelibraries.org and celebrate your library all week long!

Might be worth a call or email to city forester to determine if it was a legal removal.
Don’t know what muni you are in but in PVD, even on private property, the city arborist typically has to approve “significant” tree removal. www.providenceri.gov/parks/forest...
It’s really interesting! I wonder if other Euro countries have similar last name conventions. And I’m eager to learn more as if there have been other elected similarly named as the place they represent.

Wooden door with carved text in a language used in a video game designed by the now-defunct 38 Studios.

I would guess A LOT of us had this same thought and/or conversations in group chats this week.
