it is important to emphasize that this was *the point*. this was *intentional*. elon musk is a vicious white supremacist who thinks poor african children ought to die, so that the world can be whiter

i have really come to the view that partisanship is to be embraced wholesale. partisanship and principle but not purity.
Zhang Shan won the gold medal for the mixed skeet shooting event in the 1992 Olympics.
The International Shooting Union *immediately* banned women from competing against men.
Among other stupid things about this point, the oil and gas industry *doesn't want to reconcile* with Democrats. The leadership of the industry is overwhelmingly freakish conservatives!

Excuse me? Trump is UNDERWATER in Utah?
“The labor movement in our country cannot advance while ignoring the assault on democracy,” said Neidi Dominguez, founding executive director of Organized Power in Numbers & executive team member of May Day Strong.

Nothing he can say to them will be as degrading and disgraceful as their own decision to be there in the first place.
On top of the abuse, everything he wrote screams "I am so, so bad at management, and so is everyone around me," especially the parts when he straight up says "lol, I can't plan or schedule for shit, and that's your problem now"

I spent 5 years studying YouTube and learned that good lighting is good, and you should have it.
Also "I spent 50 hours in my front yard" sounds like a great 2011 YouTube video
Not easy. But nobody has stepped into the vacuums we've left, nobody has taken up moral or material leadership, so as long as we have the resources, we have a path back, and we can try to repudiate decades of self-sabotage.
6. A rediscovery and reinvigoration of the democratic foreign policy tradition. Commit to a foreign policy to make the world safe for democracy- that means backing Ukraine to the Hilt, cutting loose a swath of our middle eastern "allies/partners," opposing the far right wherever they emerge, etc
It probably looks something like
1. Severe consequences for Trump regime officials
2. Retaliation against the GOP, and strong safeguards to preserve Democratic government
3. End the trade wars
4. Rebuild USAID/etc ASAP, and insulate its funding from thermostatic backlash
5. End the wars, full stop
Anyways, the path back to American leadership, while difficult, isn't *that* complicated, and it's going to rely on redeveloping American credibility and influence. What little manages to survive this nightmare will not be decisive, no matter what happens from here.
If we lose, we may re-orient US foreign policy in a way that makes some sense, either by *actually* pursuing raw national interest, or by truly committing ourselves to "making the world safe for democracy". For either, we gotta cut Israel loose, and probably a bunch of other "allies" in the region.
I don't think so. If anything, an embarassing loss might be necessary to force a much-needed reevaluation of American foreign policy. A half-victory vindicates a vision of an America without limits, without restraint, and without equal partners. And besides, most of the costs are baked in by now.
