The issue with him tracing AI is that he probably traced other artists before ai. There's a common pattern of that. I seriously doubt he has any integrity if he's willing to burn down the world to scam people with AI.

I reached out to one of the people he was pretending to be to ask them if they sent it. Ofc, they hadnt. It was just an LGBTQ furry TTRPG YouTuber and live streamer. Imagine being unhinged enough to pretend to be some innocent bistandard saying biphobic, fatphobic and racial slurs.
It wasn't even motivated by biphobia. He just wanted to say anything that would get under my skin.
To make matters worse, to send messages through my website you need to input an email, and he was using other content creators emails stolen from their kofis to pretend to be them. Lmao.
I figured out it was the same guy because I was getting 2-3 emails from him through my website every 24 hours and the more he sent the more it read exactly like the man. He's incredibly unwell and I genuinely feel sorry for him. It's such a waste of his own time and energy.

Tangentially, I think the aang movie really had a chance to demonstate that air culture =\= the ability to air bend. But weirdly air benders are the only ones that don't have non bending members. But yeah, it think spreading his culture without the ability for people to bend would be a great solutn
The movie virgin springs posits that you can still live a redemptive life even after having "sinned" tho it is from a western perspective. I thought that movie was beautiful. It's a bit silly to think that killing a genocider means the culture or belief in ahimsa is suddenly worthless / compromised.
In my opinion extremely. But I think people will probably like it because it's rote by the numbers cliche action movie with "good animation". I don't think it looks good but I definitely think people will think it does.

Yeah, I'm very aware of the Sinhalese and Tamils and the tension the groups have in Sri Lanka. It's super sad / depressing because the conflict has been going on for generations.
There's a problem with Mahayana Buddhism which is partly that (at least from the Mahayana people I know) they don't teach the vedas in the native tongue. So this leads to literal buddhists who have no idea what they even believe. 969 group (genociders) are complete hacks.
In reality, it is a privilege to not have to kill. Very American to sit back and try and imagine from the comfort of an office chair option C. And that's what I don't like about it.

On one hand, it is ahimsa to stop a genocide. On the other it's not ahimsa to kill the genocider. And rather than truly grappling with these things, they take up a western neoliberal lens of sidestepping the problem.
Samsara is a problematic belief imo. Reincarnation justifies killing and being killed. I like ahimsa but ahimsa but many pacifistic buddhists believe it's better to be killed than doing killing. Avatars solution to genocide doesn't reconcile the incompatiblity of these things.
I disliked how in the original that Aang is framed as phislophically selfish -- like he doesn't want to tarnish his own soul by killing -- and then deus ex machinas his way out of it with lion turtle. It was always pretty weak imo.
