If anyone in Edinburgh fancies an 8 string ukulele (I think it's a concert size) for 60 quid please ask. Local to save on postage. We could meet somewhere and swap cash for a ukulele. Like some kind of twee drug deal.
This is Jemma and Bean. Jemma likes to eat her cheese snacks. Bean prefers to eliminate hers. 13/10 for both (TT: bjkuhn)

Somewhere Bismarck is looking down in confusion as Germany projects power by sending 4,000 pensioners, 12 buffet stations and a TUI loyalty program through the Strait of Hormuz
There’s been quite a lot done by philosophers exploring the phenomenology of reading. Also, but not so recent, Hans-Georg Gadamer’s writings on hermeneutics are interesting in relation to this.

Wisteria flowers hide the house they are growing on.
Wisteria flowers in the morning sun.
Now the leaves are growing we won't see most of the front of the house again until the Autumn.

This VERY ANGRY ROCK is actually a brown box crab (Echidnocerus foraminatus), a king crab found off the Pacific coast of North America.
The impressively compact shape is a defense posture, but there's an even neater feature not shown here.

A large white waterfowl with orange feet stands in front of a door. On the door is a cardboard sign secured with tape that reads, "DO NOT LET THE DUCK IN." Adding insult to injury, I think the duck might be a goose.
Whatever you do,
Absolutely incredible.

My photo shows a Hellenistic era hemispherical mosaic glass bowl viewed from above. The glass has a floral pattern made up of tiny, many-petalled blue, white, and yellowy-green flowers against a dark purple background (looks black in my photo). The bowl has an alternating diagonal-striped black and white glass rim. The bowl has been reconstructed from fragments and the plain light blue areas are where missing glass fragments have been replaced during reconstruction. It measures 13.2 cm in diameter and 7.5 cm in height. It was made in the eastern Mediterranean about 200-100 BC.
This Hellenistic mosaic glass bowl looks so modern, yet it was made over 2,000 years ago!
Ancient glassmakers created the tiny flower pattern using a technique now known as ‘millefiori’ (thousand flowers). A timeless design still made by glassmakers today!

The regulation demands “availability of spare parts and manuals for 10 years to curb planned obsolescence”.
