Today is the publication day for my new novel Maryam & Son, a book I’ve lived with for six years. It’s out in the world now for you to have it. Available from bookstores across India and online.
My new novel Maryam & Son will be published first in India on January 26.
It’s a novel about motherhood, desire, surveillance and one woman’s refusal to let the state dictate her story.

Thank you.

Yes, sad timing. Hope you’ve been well.
The film is set on the Line of Control in Kashmir. It’s a haunting, tense and thrilling adaptation, with superb performances.
Rudi Dharmalingam sparkles as the captain.
The language of humanitarian concern, the invocations of Palestinian suffering and trauma, mean nothing if these words aren’t followed by real, immediate action. So far, it’s all been a cruel and heartless charade.
No. There just isn’t enough pressure on Israel. Don’t buy the statements and platitudes. If there were real pressure, the genocide would have stopped. Western powers haven’t failed to stop #Israel, they have chosen not to.
Trailer for The Collaborator, film based on my debut novel, is out. You can watch it here ~

Perhaps the only worthwhile New Year’s resolution is to reflect on the year of genocide and ask ourselves what we can do in our small ways to stop it and hold those responsible accountable.
About my new novel Maryam & Son. Out next year.
