Key contribution: distinguishing degree heterogeneity (connectivity variation) from graph heterogeneity (structural irregularities beyond degrees) + rigorous evaluation against properties like transfer principles & behavior under network manipulation.
Heterogeneity measures vary widely across research contexts. This paper classifies them into 6 coherent classes & systematically evaluates which properties each measure satisfies, helping researchers choose the right one for their context.
Things are getting intense with the PhD, so I need to make some kind of systematic framework or perhaps sort things into categories (which, let's be honest, is how my last paper started 👀).
