a bear vacuuming a floor as a japanese salaryman looks on in terror
found out about the manga kuma gurashi which is like those ones where a manic pixie dream girl comes into a salaryman's life and starts doing all his domestic chores for him to heal his heart except in this one it's a realistically drawn bear and the salaryman is terrified on every single page
THANK YOU for reminding me that it was today and tomorrow; I'd have missed it and regretted it for a lifetime.
It's back in IMAX today and tomorrow; and I just remembered that TONIGHT and found a matinee i could get to tomorrow and changed my work schedule around it
very happy to hear that you're writing a book for me, specifically
for full effect you have to imagine i'm yelling this at Citizen Kane or maybe Casablanca
hell yeah you are
tangentially (not really) i've been hunting for flights to Portland and feeling nostalgic about our JFK -> PDX nights. You're a good accidental travel buddy!
That's why I paid 25 dollars for this flimsy incorporeal theater ticket. Because it reminds me of what really matters. This is the true heart of cinema, boy! This is my religion!
I am pretty stoned, and I read the first clause, became instantly and firmly convinced that you meant the space probe, and was delighted by the idea of fan reimaginings of unmanned space missions.

The whole web is built on a primary grace: that the people visiting you are trustworthy. It costs a little something for me to serve my webpage to everyone who goes there. When the number of scrapers outnumbers the number of humans by an order of magnitude, this grace is fragile.
God bless and keep The National, the official band of moving from Ohio to New York and still being depressed
love when readers have some weird idea of my cartoon in their head that has nothing to do with the dialogue-heavy, often two-talking-heads work I actually do. female penguin sex robot, sure, that totally sounds like a typical TMW setup.
“Over on Twitter, they’re” shhhhh. Shhh.
Shh.
“I could make my living on this for a number of years, and that is an increasingly rare prospect for queer journalists," said Samantha Riedel, a former long-time contributing writer for Them. @transjournalists.org estimates around half of its members are freelancers.

Small, stupid phones
Ooh, actually—for a more specific analogy, it reminds me of individual vs social responsibility in environmental messaging. Feminism is just—not a thing that can exist siloed from a larger society, and pretending it’s only about individual choices feels like “your inhaler is killing the planet”
