A bad selfie operated by a coyote! Animals are covered by ears and clipped out of the frame, but this moment was great! From left to right Deka, Xiphic (partially covered), Fervid, Dustuu(as Bonk), and Friz. The background is a great view of the islands and a lightly cloudy sky from a high overlook.

I SHOULD be excited, but I'm just...not? Strange.
It is genuinely heartening to see so many others excited though. Guess I'll be the one borrowing the enthusiasm this round.
I'm not really sure why I feel so jaded about the Artemis launch, especially being the one usually excited about space stuff. Depression? Political miasma? Tired of seeing people want the spectacle and soundbites and sci-fi but not the science? Maybe I've just watched too many launches already...

A dark-furred dragon-wolf stands in the doorway between two worlds. The world the door sits in is verdant, peaceful; dawn breaks over a field of flowers with a futuristic city and wind turbines in the distance, and moons, rings, and stars decorate the sky. The world behind the door is barren and strewn with ruins, as dusk falls with a ringed planet looming on the horizon. The creature carries only a traveler's bag slung other their shoulder, decorated with a few personal patches. With one foot already through the doorway, they take one last contented look back at the world they're leaving behind. Even as one journey ends, they move onward, inexorably drawn to the next.
