I just dont like where this fandom is heading so i am taking a step back and if this doesnt clear up, maybe just maybe ill leave the fandom other than cons and my own, closed group (7/7)

People say stuff like "you dont have to have a fursuit to be a furry", "it doesnt matter if you have a suit or not" and "the quality of the suit does not matter" when clearly nowadays, you do get hate for having a LQ suit or feeling left out if you dont have one... (6/7)

I am the closest ive ever been to leaving this fandom where "everyone is welcome" (even though thats clearly not true anymore) ive ever been. my characters arent going anywhere, they are mine and will continue to be but the fandom nowadays is... weird... (5/7)

On top of that it feels like the Dutch fandom specifically is growing more toxic by the day... there are some really toxic people that have tried (and sometimes almost succeeded) ruin lives of other furries, again i wont name names but yea... (4/7)

Just the other day it has come to my attention that a furry content creator i love and is also one of the people that got me into the fandom is very problematic, i wont name names but your allowed to assume, i think you can guess who. i am very disappointed by this and it just feels so weird. Drama is nothing new in the fandom, it has been there ever since i joined the fandom back in 2022 and even before then but as of late it feels like the drama and allegations have gotten worse... it feels like every week a new fursuit maker or popufur/content creator is being outed as a weirdo.
