Text reads: What is SEGM? Despite their name, Society for Evidence-Based Gender Medicine has been publicly critiqued and disavowed by the “godfather” of evidence-based medicine, Gordon Guyatt. Why does it matter? If SEGM is accredited to provide CMEs, medical providers can consume anti-LGBTQ+ pseudoscience to maintain their licenses. SEGM are proponents of: - Conversion therapy (rebranded as “gender exploratory therapy”) - “Rapid-Onset Gender Dysphoria” - bunk science that treats transness like a social contagion - The widely disavowed Cass Review

WSU accredited an anti-LGBTQ+ hate group know for pushing pseudoscience within their Continuing Medical Education Program. As of 11/4, WSU has suspended the SEGM course and removed it from their CME platform, but this isn't enough.

- Implement stronger review and oversight procedures
