JAMA study: Proactive blood pressure management didn't improve post-op disability at 6 months. Population: 1738 women, 1509 men, 59 mean age. Intervention: 3522 patients randomized. Findings: Blood pressure management scored 17.7, usual care 18.2.
Proactive, risk-stratified intraoperative MAP targets did not improve 6-month disability after elective noncardiac surgery compared with usual care MAP ≥65 mm Hg.
