Why does 25% AfD among young men spark a thousand "what is going on with young men?" posts yet Die Linke 34% among young women generates...nothing at all?

Yes, young men voting for the radical right is an important phenomenon. But so is young women going rad left *at even higher rates*.

What’s on offer: how do parties appeal to women voters in election manifestos? Existing research has tended to examine party manifesto appeals to women voters as a homogenous group however we know relatively little about how parties appeal to different groups of women voters....

I did some work with Francesca Gains and Claire Annesley looking at party appeals to different demographic groups of women (which includes pledges to recompensate WASPI women in 2019 - from Labour and the Lib Dems): www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.... (Sorry for the shameless plug!)

New from @profrosiecamp.bsky.social @cerifowler.bsky.social, Rosie Shorrocks and me on the gender gap at the 2024 UK GE. We find that the gender gap looked different at this election, shifting from a Lab/Con gap to a broader left-right gap.
