Dan looked Izzy dead in the eye and told her to serve into the net to get here, btw.

I am sorry that we are eliminating a special experience for you and your group - It sounds like they’re amazing seats. We want to make sure we provide you an equally amazing experience, or better, moving forward. I hope we can find the right new home for all of you, and make your group even bigger!
Personally offering an #AMA based on my knowledge of Panther Club and Season Ticket Renewal information to help ease any panic that may arise!
Of course, I completely understand. Please let me know however I may be a resource for you both moving forward. Thank you for voicing your concerns and for your many years of financial support and fandom!
It has to be set up manually on our end, but please let others know this is possible when applicable and encourage anyone to reach out to the Panther Club should they want to enroll/continue their support that began with Alliance 412.
We are still waiting upon a systems update that will allow us to manage and promote the campaign better, but we are happy to accommodate any monthly payments to the Athletic Director’s Fund moving forward (similar to A412 model).
Clemson has been an innovator of fundraising and donor engagement since the beginning - They are a great group.
Feel free to email me anytime with feedback and ideas, i’m always happy to listen, pass along any feedback, and hopefully implement some new initiatives! rroseweir@athletics.pitt.edu
I would advise to touch base with your group to gather feedback, give our ticket office a call to weigh options, and continue to monitor updates via email and social media. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance, and I hope to thank you all for your support in person at Acrisure next fall.
While I can’t guarantee that we will be able to provide the same experience for you and your group, that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be able to provide you an alternative that’s as good or better!
Of course - That is the most reasonable reaction to any of this news. I have had the same seats since the stadium opened, and the thought of not being surrounded by friends and family on gameday is worrisome. We want to be a resource for all of you during this process, not a hurdle.
Unfortunately ticket prices rise year-to-year like anything else, but we never intend to price out any of our fans - Your loyalty is the heartbeat of Pitt Athletics.
While we can’t guarantee the exact sam experience or view, the most affordable season ticket in the upper sections last year ($230) was only $5 less than it costs to sit in the lower endzone this upcoming year ($235).
Existing STHs displaced by this arrangement will be able to move prior to any other request/upgrades which are typically fulfilled around May.
Speaking from experience with last year’s MBB reseat, almost everyone I interacted with/asked for feedback was able to select the same seats or better, depending on personal preference. The past may not predict the future, but I am confident in our team’s ability to provide a fair experience for all
I would advise to touch base with any other friends/family who sit by you if applicable to see what their plans are, give our ticket office a call to weigh options, and continue to monitor updates via email and social media. Thank you so much for your support and I hope to meet you both next fall!
While I can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to recreate the same experience for you and your father, I can guarantee that we will do our best to serve you both as loyal Pitt fans.
It’s okay to panic - I know I will! I have had the same seats since the stadium opened, and the thought of not being around family and friends worries me. A Pitt game should be the highlight of everyone’s sporting experience, and we want to make sure we provide the best for our fans and athletes.
A “reseat” is an operation conducted as if the stadium is reopening again from scratch. All tickets holders and Panther Club members will be able to upgrade, move, or reselect their seats based on their Panther Club membership, lifetime giving, and pending availability of inventory.
I completely understand. This is definitely an avenue to increase revenue generation, but we believe it will also make Acrisure a much better atmosphere packed with as many Pitt fans as possible.
I realize these answers may not be the answers we’re all looking for, but I do believe in our mission that we can create an incredible experience for our fans and student-athletes. I’m a Pitt fan first and foremost. I hear your concerns, and will continue to share all of our feedback.
Previously (10-15 years ago), and mostly with basketball, seating arrangement were a factor ONLY based upon giving level year-to-year. Since moving to a per-seat donation model in 2018, lifetime giving and support has become equally as large a factor within your support to athletics.
I understand this is going to be stressful for everyone in our circles, but our overarching goal is to provide the best possible experience for our fans and student-athletes. We will share more information when available and are always here to answer questions and offer our support.
The process is not finalized but it is my interpretation based on previous protocols that all ticket holders will be required to select in the process. Our mission isn’t to displace, but to provide a fair way to move/upgrade. Similar initiatives have resulted in overwhelmingly positive feedback.
The exact process is not finalized, but based on previous MBB reseats/FB repark it will be a multivariable process involving current membership and lifetime giving. While a reseat does not guarantee the same seats, the goal is to provide moves/upgrades proportionate to athletics support.
That’s completely understandable! While we won’t be able to accommodate everyone, we hope this creates a capacity-atmosphere for our student-athletes and a raucous environment for visiting teams on gameday.
Reseats aren’t the most comfortable process, but they reward Panther Club members for their financial support and longevity. With such a drastic change in capacity, it was determined to be the fairest opportunity for Pitt fans obtain seats/make changes moving forward.
Students have been awesome for a decade+. One thing that i’ve taken away is that while the lower bowl will remain unchanged to reserve regular ticket sales/upgrades/relocations, the upper endzone has the ability to dynamically add student inventory based on away game inventory returned.
That was my first reaction too. Everyone I know has had the same seats in the stadium since it opened, and deserve to experience gameday with family and friends. Details about what the reseat will look like are still TBD, but it’s our mission to make it a fair and equitable experience for all.
