However I do completely agree that Taki holds Tomori back out of kindness, which I think is a big part of Taki misunderstanding Tomori. Taki’s birthday story in game is a great example of this, where Tomori tells Taki to use the notebook (representing Tomori) and not to hide it away somewhere safe.

I think it undersells Taki to consider her kindness as something just towards Tomori. She has a hard exterior but is a very kind person. Tomori first thinks of Taki as kind in her ep3 notes *before* Taki fell for her (at the concert) so she recognises Taki’s general kindness, not just to her.

Even in MyGO 9 what gets Taki most annoyed at Soyo is her callous attitude towards Anon. She makes a big point to apologising to people she feels she has wronged, such as Anon and Soyo in MyGO 11, Tomori in 10 and Umiri in Mujica and through these we can see that she thinks very low of herself.

I can see that it may appear as such, but Taki shows kindness to a lot of people, not just Tomori, even though she keeps a hard exterior. Like in Ave Mujica she’s the only person who seems worried for Mutsumi in ep2, or when she goes to Saki in ep7, or Umiri many times in Mujica.

And even so, they both keep trying to understand each other, little by little they’re making progress. (Side note: Please read BNTY event for more!) They still are unable to completely connect, like their hands here, but I have complete faith that one day they will be able to.

Which perfectly aligns with MyGO’s themes as a whole! How they can manage to find strength in each other to move forward together even if they’re stumbling and keep misunderstanding and missing each other.

What I especially love about this is that despite Tomori not completely being able to understand, or even Tomori misunderstanding, Taki’s feelings, Tomori can still find Taki’s presence a source of comfort.

The words “kind” and “gentle” are what Tomori most uses to describe Taki. And as she draws attention to during the Ave Mujica Ep13 Live, Tomori sits by the drums to prepare her notes, something we see going back to the CRYCHIC days even, because she finds it a comfortable place to be.

HOWEVER, despite this it is also very clear that Tomori cares for Taki. She cares for all of her friends, and personally I think Tomori is a little bit in love with all of them, but Taki in particular I see Tomori viewing as a sort of “gentle protector”.

I think it’s pretty clear that Tomori doesn’t really understand how Taki feels about her, and likely won’t unless Taki comes out and explicitly tells Tomori

I don’t think Tomori’s feelings match Taki’s, not to say they never could, but understanding those feelings would be the first step there.

I can’t sleep and keep rotating TakiTomo in my mind from those last episode crumbs, so I’m gonna exorcise it by posting here…

Oh I love to see it when people get excited at a cosplay, that’s the best part of cosplaying!

I’m hoping we get another Uika and Tomori scene paralleling episode 10.

More MyGO doesn’t have to mean less Uika, I’d be down for more unexpected pairings between the bands like with MortyRaana.

It’s tough, cos on one hand I desperately want to see more Taki and her feeling around Crychic, plus I’ll always love seeing the MyGO girls.

But unlike with Mutusmi, Saki and even Umiri, Uika doesn’t really have a MyGO connection (yet) but I’ll keep the faith that she’ll be done justice by the end

With how they’ve set it up so far, I can’t see a way that the climax of the show doesn’t have an Uika/UiSaki focus.

My expectation (or maybe more hope?) is that episode 7 will warp up the Crychic stuff (for now) then we’ll get a couple of episodes Umiri focus (similar to the Mutsumi/Mortis focus we’ve already had) and then Uika will take centre stage for the last few episodes.

Mutsumi to Umiri just being “???” is gonna keep me up at night. Why did they do that rather than just not include the line??? What more is she hiding??

They’re all so precious! 🥺 And then there’s everyone beefing with Nyamu! 😭

The vibes were comfy and it was a lot less “cringe” than you might expect. Everyone there, both staff and customers, were friendly and getting to chat MyGO is always fun!

Oh, and I redid my itabag to be all of MyGO (not just Tomori)

Usagi Maid Cafe in London did a MyGO/Mujica Collab, so I had to go visit (with the plushes ofc!)

Ended up feeling more like a MyGO fan meet, we met an Umiri cosplay who kept stealing Taki plush (v in character) and we cheered for a live Shuwa Shuwa from Aya!
