EOY thoughts.
Feeling grateful for the sense of *trust* within our team.
Do I believe ppl would NEVER, EVER tell a lie, exaggerate a fact, or bend the truth? That'd be unrealistic.
But if they ever have to, I trust all would keep the team's success in mind, and not have hidden malevolent agenda.

But I'm only spectating and speculating... it's interesting to see the evolution of the UI ecosystem that MUI is building.
You can check out what the actual team at Base UI are saying about it Radix vs Base UI ->
bsky.app/profile/vlad...
On the other side, @workos.bsky.social (maintainers of Radix) have other (great btw) products to develop and maintain as well.
Contrary to MUI, building a UI library is not their core business.
Yeah @radix-ui.bsky.social is great. I'm using it too. 👍
From what I see, the people who moved to @base-ui.com don't want radical changes to the APIs either.
But, they have built a team that is exclusively focused on project development and improvement, and aim to expand into advanced use cases.
I also suspect it will work quite nicely with @pigment-css.com once it gets out of beta.
Yay. @base-ui.com just went live 🎉
It looks super promising. I've been eagerly anticipating this because, on paper, it has the potential to combine the best of the Radix API with the ambitions of MUI components and their use cases.
That is to say... people are trying to connect with others who share similar interests(tech, art...), rather than just groups of friends joining the platform.
What do circles of friends use to stay in touch these days? Instagram? 🤔
Thanks to the (small) number of new organic followers.
Exciting to see new communities taking shape.
During Twitter early days, it primarily started with friendship circles. Now with @bsky.app , it seems to be community-driven from day one.
Bienvenue :)
"Remember that you will die."
You have no time to lose. Make today count. Don't create regrets for tomorrow. Cherish every moment. They will die too.
Slightly more sinister though...
Just remapped my "Caps Lock" key to the hyper modifier "⇧⌃⌥⌘" 👍
This transforms a key that is only... mildly useful into a new range of shortcuts.
Two easy ways to do it:
- The one-click install hyperkey.app by Ryan Hanson
- More advanced config using Karabiner and github.com/Vonng/Capslock
React 19 it released
Loving this dark background on the "Enterprise" pricing column from @tiptap.dev
The best part is being immediately welcomed by relevant posts. (I didn't realize how much I missed reading @danabra.mov, @sarahedo.bsky.social, etc)
On the other side... X has turned into endless doomscrolling (at least for me), with brainless entertainment instead of meaningful interactions.
Trying out @bsky.app again,
And it feels like a lot has been happening since 2023 🎉
Happy to follow back.
