I also think I remember Kishimoto ratting out SJ for insisting on the Chunin test tournament arc. Specifically a big multi nation/school tournament with lots of new characters

Honestly sounds legit. It's practically a shonen jump staple that every story has a school at some point and then drops it if it gets popular. There's always an intricate 3-7 year advancement track that gets tossed immediately.

I think if I'd help out longer I might have gotten into it but yeah the tone/direction was a little chaotic for me. And of course it does the classic Shonen thing of introducing a 4 or 5 year school that is used for a couple of arcs and then thrown away lol

I think I read until there was an obligatory teenage death match school tournament and then noped out

One of the best/most humiliating things I learned to do when making editing passes on my manuscript was to make my "list of shame," the 15 stupidest mistakes I repeat over & over & put them in a separate document so I could do a systematic find/replace in each document

I know it's more satisfying to start writing with the sad, problem section where the MC has a hard time and you empathize with him but I'd rather start with the part where he makes magic fists and starts punching people. I'll fix it in post 😅

Vampire the Masquerade (but secretly in modern urban Ravenloft) one shot was a lot of fun. Players literally found dragon bones and spell books but didn't make the connection until VRichten himself warned them about Strahd and vanished with 1/3 of the Sun Sword 😂

Crushed my way through all 9 volumes of American Vampire. I think I liked the slightly more grounded vibes of the early volumes but the ride as a whole was a lot of fun. Hyped for our #VtM game tomorrow!
