I can still smell the gunpowder!

Good point! I forgot that k.d. lang got shunted to the end credits. Arnold ranks right behind Barry for my likes in personal Bond composers. I am glad he came back to cowrite the new "First Light" Lana Del Rey song. Gave it a real Bond feel that's been missing.
A personal weakness to all of the post-John Barry James Bond scores to me is that the theme song is not incorporated orchestrally into the score. Barry was a master of that.
No money of ours will go to a company that puts money in the pocket of the world's worst transphobe.

A bit of a bittersweet build for Ram Man. He loves Pokémon and has enjoyed building the MEGA sets over the years. Eevee is the last of those sets. With the license now owned by LEGO, this marks the end of our Pokémon brick building adventures.
No human being is illegal.
Maisie Peters, smiles onstage while lifting an acoustic guitar overhead. She wears a short dark outfit with sparkling gems on her face, and dramatic white beams of light fan out behind her, creating a bright, celebratory concert moment.
It was fun to hear Maisie Peters live in concert at the Vic last night.
Happy Birthday to Tim Curry. I think he would have made a brilliant James Bond after Timothy Dalton.
Going through a lot of personal loss right now and revitalizing the world in Pokopia is actually helping me right now. Do you have games that have helped pull you through a tough patch?
I mean, of course that’s what happening. It’s been clear the whole time
When they clashed?
My favorite characters! R2-P2, Luke Skylicker, Princess Leo, and Han Soda.
A heaven that is only humans and not animals is Hell.
Alt text: A memorial photo frame sits on a dark wooden table, displaying a picture of two late cats: Jack, a tabby, and Ian, a black cat, cuddled together on a blanket. The frame has a heart-shaped hanging charm that reads, “Look at the photo and think of me I’m always in your heart,” and the softly blurred background shows flowers and household items.
My friend Derek sent me this memory frame. It's hard losing Jack and Ian. They were very special cats who loved us and each other as much as we loved them. I want to remember them this way.
So many good people and animals I loved have died the last twelve months, but that evil piece of shit lives on.
Goodbye, Ian. Our Boo-Boo was the best cat ever.
That person thought that Iran would act like the Congresional GOP.
Chef's kiss on the brand name, though.
Got an ad for Mormon LEGO compatible bricks. Now, I am not buying LEGO since they are JK Rowling's biggest source of merch income, but I am not going to give my money to the LDS Church, either. They share the same "Beliefs" about the LGBTQ+ community. www.brickemyoung.com
Greg's been posting games that define his gaming taste, and he's got some first generation Genesis bangers on there. It reminded me how much I wanted a Genesis. I haven't had that feeling in decades. I know I am old, but could it also be the diminishing returns of modern console generations?

A beautiful dawn over Pueblo, New Mexico.
On my way home via Denver. Quite a weekend since Friday night: Chicago -> Houston -> El Paso -> Juarez -> El Paso -> Denver -> Chicago. Boy will my arms be tired!
And I crossed back into the US this evening on foot. No picture as the American side has no welcome sign. Sad commentary on our country in these times.
Alt text: A sidewalk leads toward the entrance sign for the Juarez Visitor Center in Ciudad Juárez. The blue-and-white sign reads “Cd Juárez Fantástico” and lists tourist information, handcrafts, and the conventions and visitors bureau. A colorful bird mosaic decorates the wall beside the sign, while cars drive past on the road under a gray overcast sky.
I walked into another country for the first time in my life this morning. It makes me feel European!
I'm headed to Mexico right now via Houston and El Paso.
Facebook post from Janet's husband, Ralph Smith, announcing her death. The post says Janet, Ralph Smith’s wife of 38 years, passed away yesterday in her sleep due to a cardiac event, and that there will be a celebration of life later when family and friends can gather.
Another senior-aged friend passed away. I met Janet and her husband Ralph at a Clay Jenkinson led retreat years ago and she I remained Facebook Messenger pen-pal friends since then. She was a wonderful woman and I will miss my friend. My heart aches for Ralph.
A Talking Pony!?!
Really enjoyed this week's news segment on @p1podcast.com. Lots of good talk on the state of the videogame industry. Also, like CJ I want a "Turbo Teen" game.
Alt text: A brick-built Golbat figure with large lavender wings is displayed on a small gray stand labeled “GOLBAT” on a white tabletop. Beside it stands a Ram Man action figure in silver armor and a red tunic, with stereo equipment and a blue suitcase-style record player in the background.
Ram Man took another brick set from the backlog to build today, the MEGA Pokémon Golbat. A fun little build as we reach the end of the MEGA-era of brick-built Pokémon.
