I was thinking about flower crowns and my brain just put this in my head and I went yeah that's it.

I've always assumed that for people who have lineart styles it doesn't need to have a background but for more painterly styles like mine it NEEDS to have a background otherwise it looks weird but that's an assumption on my part. What do you think? Do painted works look weird without backgrounds?
