Moth interest not been up to par yet - presumably will increase as it gets damper - but, as usual here, Convolvulus Hawkmoth numbers have to be seen to be believed!

Day 2 was great for local migrants/breeders - 92 of 35 species: best a Banded Parisoma = the first ever ringed here; other good lookers that are very infrequently ringed included Black Cuckooshrike, Eastern Nicator and Von der Decken's Hornbill

Ngulia day 2 not so good for Palearctic migrants - lots visible passing low overhead at night but no mist to drop them; morning catch fewer tham 100 but did include a nice scarcity - an Asian Lesser Cuckoo

First day's been good: humid with all the rain so plenty of mist for a time last mist that prompted a good drop of birds - combined night/day total of 914 ringed incl 2 Corncrakes...

Back in Kenya for another migration session at Ngulia - hasn't actually been looking like this most of time as there's been bucket loads of rain both last night and again today
