Not much of a research you need. You can learn it in an hour :D
All you need is an RJ45 crimping tool, RJ45 connector, RJ45 Connector sleeve/cover, and a UTP cable. The rest is patience, and a hint of a care of the "colour order"

Yeah it's a lifesaver if you don't need to drill bigger hole than what is necessary, the knowledge helped me a lot when I did my cable job at my new place. :D
