No the back side is open and cored out to reduce weight. It also has threaded holde so you can insert handles sticking out the back. It's a really nice design. 👍🏻

That wave spring is cool. Is it spot welded together or something?

It may be a while before I go back to #metalsmithing, but I’m still making things out of metal. I bought the raw casting for this straight edge 6 years ago and I’m finally getting around to machining it. Next up, scraping.

This horizontal mill is one of my favorite tools for box making. After owning it for 10 years I’m finally getting around to adding digital scales so I don’t screw up so often. 🙄
