I'll never forget when Ms. Jackson "tested" me so I could check out "red tape" books. I had to read one full page aloud & make fewer than 5 errors, then, I could check out the "big kid" books. It's one of those sensory memories from my childhood where I'll remember every detail for my entire life.

My husband lives 3 hours away and comes home on weekends because we teach at separate schools. This is all a lot of driving 🫠
