He moved the goal posts to this being about banking now. American and other foreign banks already operate in Canada. But they have to comply with our regs if they want to hold deposits. Clearly the US banks do not comply.

Lately my US travel has been mostly work related as well! But they’re quick trips (AOGs, fly aboard AME duties). It’s just hard to spend money in an economy that’s being hostile to us right now. Plus this is hitting our dollar, making the trips more expensive.

I understand completely! I have many close friends in the US and I love travelling there. Unfortunately the tariffs are devaluing our dollar making it more expensive, and I just can’t in good conscience spend my money to help an economy that’s being actively hostile to us. I hope this ends soon.

Just cancelled my upcoming trip to PHX. Fuck Trump and his tariffs, I’m going to keep my money in Canada. If my upcoming Daytona trip wasn’t already booked and paid for months ago, I would’ve cancelled that too.

PSP has to be one of the most stunning places I’ve ever flown to. The turn was too short, I can’t wait to come back here on a visit.

There’s a little girl seated in front of me on this flight who’s absolutely fascinated with the plane and all the goings on before take off. Asked her if she wanted to be a pilot, and she pointed at the de-icer and said she wanted to be that guy. It’s the simple joys
